“Our teams worked hard to resolve the problem, and I’m pleased to say it was fixed earlier on this afternoon. However, it will take some time for flights to return to normal. There is nothing to suggest the technical issue was the result of a cyber attack, the PA news agency understands. Glasgow-based airline Loganair said in a statement on Monday: “There has been a network-wide failure of UK air traffic control computer systems this morning.
Both Edinburgh and Glasgow Airport encouraged people to check in with individual airlines as to the status of their flight even though the problem has been resolved.
