Flyers will now be able to choose whether they'd like to be seated near children or not
An airline is offering passengers a chance to avoid potentially sitting next to babies and children for an extra fee when flying. Turkish operators Corendon Airlines will charge passengers around £38 to sit in a special 'adults only' zone, which is effectively an equivalent to a train's 'quiet section'.
There will be 93 standard seats that can be reserved by passengers 16-years and older for €45 per flight. There will also be nine seats in the zone with extra legroom that will cost passengers €100 . Corendon argues that the new zone benefits both those seeking quiet travel and those with children. "We also believe this can have a positive effect on parents traveling with small children," Uslu added in his statement. "They can enjoy the flight without worrying if their children make more noise."
