A woman suffered serious injuries
Police were called to reports of a crash on Dentons Green Lane in St Helens at around 9.30am on Thursday, November 2. The crash involved a blue Nissan Micra and a wheelchair.
Air ambulance took the woman in the wheelchair, who is in her 30s, to hospital with serious injuries which were not life threatening, police said. It is understood two air ambulances landed in the car park of Mecca Bingo on Kirkland Street. The driver of the Nissan car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries. A road closure was in place and people were told to avoid the area. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said officers were appealing for witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
