Eyewitnesses said they area was taped off
An air ambulance was called to Clifton after a police community support officer collapsed while on duty, police have confirmed. Emergency services were in attendance in shortly after 2pm today .
The PCSO has been taken to hospital. A police spokesman confirmed officers were called to support road and air ambulance crews at the scene. Inspector Ben Lawrence, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Police officers attended to help our ambulance colleagues at the what is believed to be a medical emergency. There are no wider concerns for the community.”A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 2.10pm on 17 October to a commercial address in Clifton. The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a fast response and a crewed ambulance.
"The air ambulance was also in attendance. One patient was taken to Nottingham City Hospital via crewed ambulance.” Nottinghamshire Live readers reported a large presence of emergency services at the scene. One reader said police tape had been put up, and that the incident happened near to Lidl and Morrisons.
