There’s been unapologetic body shaming: Kwame told his wife’s sisters that he usually went out with more petite women like Beyoncé and Rihanna, while Jonathan let his wife Sophie know that he would dump her if she put on any weight. There’s been sexual shaming — Matt hated his wife Gemma making any sort of blue joke — that led to outright cheating when he snogged Whitney behind her back.
Adrian, a 37-year-old Liverpudlian graphic designer who lives in Manchester, has proven himself this year’s fan favourite MAFS participant. Always impeccably dressed, incredibly polite and with floppy blonde hair not unlike a 90s boyband heartthrob, he is, by all accounts, the perfect man – the antithesis of “toxic masculinity”. You’d be hard pressed not to find something to like about Adrian.
