Kate Middleton might be taking on Prince Andrew's role as Colonel
Kate Middleton has become the most popular choice to replace Prince Andrew as Colonel of Grenadier Guards, it has been claimed.
If Kate were to accept the role, she would make history by becoming the first woman in the position in 366 years of the regiment’s establishment. Prince Andrew inherited the position of Colonel of Grenadier Guards from the Duke of Edinburgh in 2017 and has since been stripped of the role, along with several others, in a move made by the Queen recently.
