Adele appeared on James' final Carpool Karaoke
Adele broke down in tears during an emotional heart to heart with her close pal James Corden in the TV star's final Carpool Karaoke.
And a conversation they had where Adele realised James was going through a tough period in his life led to a poignant track on her most recent album. "The year before that, when I left Simon and stuff like that, you and [James's wife] Jules and the kids were so integral in looking after me and Angelo and making sure that I didn't..." Adele trailed off, as James started to well up himself watching his friend becoming teary.
"Because you have always been that [person] ever since I was like 21," Adele gushed with a smile. And I went to the studio a couple of weeks later, and I wrote this, sang it into my phone and sent it to you.The Late Late Show star, who is saying goodbye to the show this week and moving back home to the UK, praised his friend for putting into words everything he'd been feeling.
