The host was emotional at the end of the search
The property expert was helping Tracey find her dream home abroad in this week's final episode of the popular Channel 4 programme. Tracey was armed with a maximum budget of £150,000 and was searching for a three bedroom house in La Duquesa on the western Costa del Sol.
Tracey's husband, Tony, has died a few years before filming and the couple had always dreamed of finding their dream retirement home in Spain. The buyer was joined by her friend Jackie for moral support as they viewed five homes on the search.The search proved to be successful as Tracey felling in love with a three bedroom duplex apartment in Casares Costa. The home was priced at £151,696 and Tracey secured the property for £146,000.
Jasmine broke down in tears after Tracey's emotional reaction to securing the property. The host said: "What a special moment. With reactions like that, I can finally see how much this means to Tracey to finally make hers and Tony's dreams come true." Tracey spoke to the official A Place in the Sun website and revealed it had been a tough few years since the death of her husband. She said: " did feel quite apprehensive about the filming, as did Jackie, I didn’t feel natural behind the camera. But it was lovely with Jasmine, who was very professional. I think I got a real bargain, with similar properties selling for around €30k more now. It was a case of me being in the right place at the right time.
