Adam Azim may be young but he believes he is almost ready to be challenging for world titles., winning ten national titles and he was the number one ranked youth amateur in the welterweight division.Since turning over to the professional ranks, he has had eight fights and won all of them, with six KOs, and he now has his eyes on world honours, specifically Rolando 'Rolly' Romero's WBA super lightweight world title.
Azim's trainer, Shane McGuigan, first suggested the idea when he told talkSPORT: "I just feel there's going to be gaps in that 140lb division, Rolly Romero has just won the world title and he's not very good." And when asked whether he would fight Romero for his world title, Azim told talkSPORT: "One hundred per cent.
"I feel like Rolly is getting exposed every single fight, he struggled in his last fight and he got knocked out by Gervonta 'Tank' Davis and I think Rolly’s got power, but he’s not the same anymore, so that’s a good way to take a world title."
