Police hope to find two strangers who stopped to help the lad.

The lad was set upon yesterday at 2pm on the town's Great Western Road, near to the World of Golf.

"It’s important we establish exactly what has happened and why. I would ask anyone in the area who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.
