The grassroots, nationwide fundraiser founded by British jewellery designer Annoushka Ducas was started two years ago at the height of lockdown and consists of women getting together and hosting a breakfast to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust, as part of The trust’s Women Supporting Women initiative.
Since its launch, the charity has raised more than £1.17 million for young women and girls on programmes run by – and this year, fundraising will take place between 10-16th of October for those looking to host their own breakfast and get involved in the initiative.If you’re a rum lover the RumFest is an event that is at the top of my calendar.
Taking place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October, RumFest Live will feature tastings, exhibitions, seminars and more from both new and established distillers and blenders from the world of rum. Guests will also enjoy Carnival Hour, with live music and dancing, and exciting food traders offering delicious snacks and meals, as well as food and rum pairing masterclasses.
