A devastating fire that tore through private kennels has tragically claimed the lives of 11 dogs.
The pets were all left trapped inside the kennels after a blaze broke out at the site in Staffordshire on Saturday morning.Crews managed to put out the fire, but the group of animals were found dead inside, Staffordshire Police said. A joint investigation between police and the fire service into the cause of the fire is being carried out.A police spokesperson said: ‘We understand that this is an upsetting incident which has caused concern in the community.’Families were left heartbroken when their animals died at Kirkland K9 kennels in Jackton, near East Kilbride, in early June.
